understanding how resurfacing works

Cabinet resurfacing is simply defined as replacing the existing surface of the cabinet with a new “skin”. To ensure the installation process is a breeze, do refer to the step-by-step tutorial provided below.

Detailed Breakdown
SUPERFACE.
Step 1: Remove cabinet doors

Detach cabinet door from the cabinet and remove any hinges or handles (if applicable) from the door.

Step 2: Keep the cabinet surface clean

Clean the surface of the cabinet panel with a clean cloth and an ordinary household cleaning solution.

SUPERFACE.
Step 3: Align sheet on cabinet panel

Align SUPAFACE sheet on cabinet panel so that there is a margin of 20mm on each side.

Step 4: Smoothen sheet

Squeegee* from top to bottom of cabinet panel whilst slowly peeling off the backing sheet.


*you can use a credit card or anything similar without any sharp edges

Step 5: Cut the edges

Perform a 45-degree cut at the edge. Fold upwards and squeegee the sheet firmly to the cabinet door edge to remove any air bubbles.

Step 6: Fold sheet onto panel

Fold the corresponding side onto the back of the cabinet panel. Leave a 5mm margin on the folded edge & cut off any excess material.
